You've seen ARCHITECT in print and online, but have you heard us? You can now, loud and clear, with our new podcast, ArchitectChats. Here, our editors talk with the people who are working at the cutting edge of design, technology, and practice in architecture. We'll talk with them about what they're doing, where they're headed, and how you can learn from it.

In this episode, we chat with Jose Sanchez, who is an associate professor at the University of Southern California’s School of Architecture, in Los Angeles, an independent game developer, and director of the Plethora Project, a research initiative that explores the connection between architecture and gaming. His latest project is Block’hood. The desktop neighborhood-building simulation game is based on the idea of resource scarcity—so don't even think about using a "cheat code"—and shows new opportunities for video games in practice, by communicating design and planning decisions.
